Jianfeng Sun Triumphs in 2026 Asian Poker Tour Jeju Main Event
The 2026 Asian Poker Tour Jeju Main Event drew 679 entries, surpassing its 2.2 billion South Korean won guarantee by 1 billion. Jianfeng Sun won the 2026 Asian Poker Tour Jeju Main Event, securing $315,639 and the title. Sun finished second in the same event two years prior. Sun's career earnings grew to over $1.9 million with this victory. Sun secured 840 Card Player Player of the Year points as the champion.
The top 72 finishers made the money in this event, with only eight advancing to the last day. Sun came into the final table sitting atop the leaderboard. World Series of Poker bracelet winner Toby Joyce lost a big preflop coin flip with A♣J♦ against the 9♠9♣ of Steve Ng to fall in fourth place ($123,114). Ng had just better than a 3:2 chip lead at the start of the heads-up match with Sun. The two hashed out a deal that flattened the payouts, leaving the title and around $17,600 to play for.
Ng opened to 1,500,000 on the button with K♦10♥. Sun three-bet shoved from the big blind holding A♦4♠, and Ng called all-in for 9,200,000. The board came down Q♣7♦6♣3♦2♦, and ace-high was enough to earn Sun the pot and the title. Ng took home the largest payout of $331,548 thanks to the heads-up deal struck while he was in front, but ultimately finished as the runner-up.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
