Jason Koon Wins PokerGO Cup Event 6 for $324,000
Jason Koon continued his dominance in the PokerGO Cup, securing his first trophy of 2021 and a hefty $324,000 paycheck by winning Event 6. The tournament, held at the Aria casino in Las Vegas, featured a $25,000 buy-in and was part of the high-stakes series schedule.
Koon was among 36 entries in the second of two $25k buy-in tournaments. John Riordan was responsible for busting a trio of in-form opponents just before they reached the cash. Riordan ended Ali Imsirovic’s hopes of taking down his 3rd title of the week, while Alex Foxen was denied a final table run at his second title and David Coleman was also sent to the rail.
Koon's win, coupled with his earlier runner-up finish, vaults him into 2nd place in the overall leaderboard race. The final three events, with buy-ins rising to $50k for event 7 and then the monster $100k finale, promise plenty of changes.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
