Isai Scheinberg Honored with Outstanding Achievement Award
Isai Scheinberg, the founder of PokerStars, was presented with an Outstanding Achievement Award at the International Gaming Awards. He accepted the award in person at the Savoy Hotel in London.
PokerStars, under Scheinberg's leadership, was the biggest online poker site, holding around 70% of the market share for many years. The company played a major part in the poker boom that kicked off in 2003. Scheinberg was instrumental in getting WSOP satellites onto the PokerStars platform, which allowed players like Chris Moneymaker to qualify for the 2003 WSOP Main Event via a PokerStars satellite.
Scheinberg sold PokerStars to David Baazov. However, his impact on the industry was further solidified when he purchased Full Tilt Poker for $547 million after the Black Friday catastrophe, demonstrating his commitment to the integrity of online poker.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
