Isaac Hekston Wins WPT Super High Roller Tournament with $215,000

Isaac Hekston, a successful poker player and ambassador for PartyPoker, won the WPT Super High Roller tournament with a prize of $215,000. The event, which took place on Sunday, had a buy-in of $25,500 and a prize pool of $525,000. With 21 participants, the tournament was completed in a few hours.

The top three finishers were Christoph Vogelsang, Dan Smith, and Isaac Hekston. Vogelsang finished third, earning $105,000. Before the heads-up, Smith and Hekston agreed to split the prize money almost evenly, with Hekston taking home $215,000 and Smith $205,000.

Arthur Martirosyan, a Russian poker player, made two attempts but did not make it to the prize zone. His first attempt ended at 20th place, and his second attempt was just short of the prize zone, making him the bubble boy of the event.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
