Indonesia Arrests Over 300 in Major Crackdown on Illegal Gambling
Indonesian authorities have conducted a massive operation targeting illegal gambling and money laundering, resulting in the arrest of over 300 suspects. The operation, which took place in Jakarta, involved the detention of 321 foreigners from various countries, including 57 from China and 228 from Vietnam.
The suspects were found in a commercial building near Jakarta's Chinatown region. The criminal organization had established a clear structure with different roles, including supporting the operation of the illegal websites, overseeing finance, customer service, and other roles. Some of the suspects stayed with a visitor’s visa and may face extra charges for violating Indonesia’s immigration policies.
The suspects will be facing charges for their involvement in the illegal gambling operation, as well as charges related to money laundering.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
