Iconic Casino Games on the Big Screen: From '21' to 'A Hard Day’s Night'

Casino games have always been a thrilling subject for filmmakers, and many iconic movies have featured these games in memorable scenes. Here are some of the most notable portrayals:

Blackjack: One of the most famous blackjack stories in cinema is depicted in the film '21'. This movie, starring Kevin Spacey, Kate Bosworth, and Jim Sturgess, is based on the true story of the MIT card-counting crew who devised a scheme to win millions at blackjack in Las Vegas. The film follows Sturgess’ character as he uses his math skills to count cards and pay his tuition fees for Harvard Medical School.

Roulette: The roulette wheel has been a staple in many movies, from classics like 'Casablanca' to more recent films. One of the most memorable roulette scenes is in 'Indecent Proposal', where Demi Moore and Woody Harrelson's characters lose their savings on the roulette wheel, leading to an 'indecent proposal' from billionaire Robert Redford.

Baccarat: Baccarat has also made notable appearances in films. In 'A Hard Day’s Night', Paul McCartney's character plays baccarat in a casino despite knowing little about the game. This scene provides a humorous moment as his character struggles with the rules of baccarat.
