High-Stakes Poker: The Rise and Fall of Legendary Players

High-stakes poker is a world of extreme wins and losses, and few players have experienced this more intensely than Victor Blom. Known as 'Izildur1,' Blom played a staggering 2,372,026 hands on high stakes at Full Tilt and PokerStars, losing an average of $1.35 per hand. His journey is a testament to the volatility and unpredictability of high-stakes poker.

Gus Hansen, another legendary player, lost a significant amount of money on Full Tilt, totaling $20,737,007 over 1,572,615 hands. Hansen's losses were primarily in PLO and 2-7 Triple Draw, games known for their high variance. Despite his losses, Hansen's career is marked by his aggressive and fearless playing style.

Tom Dwan, often referred to as 'durrrr,' played his last online session in 2013, accumulating over 1 million hands on high stakes. Dwan's career is a mix of incredible highs and lows, with his aggressive and innovative playing style often leading to both massive wins and losses.
