High-Stakes Poker 2019: The Year of MrLeeQ and ICEMAN2710

The year 2019 was marked by several notable events in the high-stakes poker world. One of the most intriguing stories involved a mysterious Canadian player, idaniel78, who appeared and disappeared quickly on high-stakes online poker tables.

One of the standout players of 2019 was MrLeeQ, a Chinese player who became the top winner on NL2k+ in December with a win rate of 31.9BB/100 over 10,000 hands. MrLeeQ has a history of organizing underground poker games and was reportedly imprisoned for it. His aggressive playing style and high win rate made him a notable figure in the poker community. MrLeeQ was first noticed on 2+2 forums in October 2015 when he played a long heads-up session with CooL1992 at $50/$100. He reappeared on the forums in January 2017 playing 6-max on $25/$50, and again in September 2019 playing on $50/$100.

Another significant event was the return of ICEMAN2710, who rejoined the poker scene in the fall of 2019 after nearly two years away. His straightforward behavior in chat and impressive performances quickly won him the hearts of viewers on 2+2. Jayser1337, who finished in the top 20 best players of the year, reported that competition has increased significantly, making the high-stakes poker scene more challenging but also more exciting.
