GGPoker Launches Streamer Mode to Revive Dying Poker Streaming
GGPoker has introduced Streamer Mode to support poker streamers amidst a significant decline in viewership. Twitch poker streaming in 2025 has experienced a 44.2% decline in average viewership compared to the previous year. Despite this drop, the number of individuals attempting to start poker streaming has risen by 8.9%. This suggests that the problem isn’t a lack of interest from content creators but rather the difficulty of building and maintaining an audience.
A new YouTube policy has age-restricted a lot of poker content, which means it cannot be viewed unless the user is logged in and age-verified. This policy change has decimated views on content and the algorithm will stop recommending the content. Kevin Martin, a GGPoker ambassador and one of poker’s longest-standing and most-watched streamers, brought attention to this issue on X. “It might be over for poker creators,” he wrote. “All online poker content is COOKED with new YouTube Policy.”
GGPoker’s Streamer Mode offers financial incentives and improved technical integration. To qualify for the full 100% cashback, streamers must meet specific requirements, including at least three months of streaming history on YouTube or Twitch and a minimum of 40 concurrent viewers. GGPoker’s proprietary “dual-display technology” creates two separate views – one for the streamer showing complete information, another for viewers with sensitive data hidden. Active streamers receive prominent placement on GGPoker’s homepage, exposing them to the site’s massive player base.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
