GGPoker Expands from Online Poker to Live Tournaments with WSOP Partnership
GGPoker, a prominent online poker platform, is making waves by offering seats to the World Series of Poker (WSOP) main event through its ClubGG program. This initiative allows online poker players to transition their skills to the live tournament scene, with the chance to compete for life-changing profits.
One of the standout stories is that of Vasu Amarapu, who converted his fifty-dollar ClubGG joining fee into a staggering $470,000 at the WSOP 2021 event, finishing in 13th place. Another notable winner is Francisco Estrada, who secured a 705th finish and took home $17,000. These successes highlight the potential for online players to make significant impacts in live tournaments.
GGPoker's partnership with WSOP has been highly successful, having sent more than fifty players to the WSOP Main Event and over 100 to alternative events since 2021. The collaboration includes the inaugural World Series of Poker Online tournament in 2020, which set a world record for the largest prize pool in an online poker tournament at $27.5 million. Additionally, GGPoker replaced 888poker as the official host of the WSOP Main Event satellites, further cementing its role in the poker community.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
