Shom Markus Reveals Details About the Future of Full Tilt Poker
Shom Markus, the manager of Full Tilt Poker, introduced himself as the manager of Full Tilt Poker on the 2+2 forum. He revealed that he was behind the FTPDoug account, which was used to represent Full Tilt on the 2+2 forum. Shom Markus apologized for any misinformation posted under the FTPDoug account during the scandal surrounding Full Tilt Poker.
Full Tilt Poker is set to relaunch within the next 90 days, likely in late October or early November. Players from the United States will not be able to play for real money on the new Full Tilt Poker but can practice on play money. Full Tilt Poker will have separate accounts in euros, but this feature may not be available at launch.
The shop will be available from the first day, but the assortment is not yet determined. Winners of the last series of FTOPS tournaments, who have been waiting for their prize sweatshirts for 15 months, will receive them by the end of the year. All questions regarding partially played bonuses will be resolved, but details are not yet known. Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars will continue to compete with each other across all fronts. The structure of blinds and payouts in tournaments will remain unchanged. FPP points spent on items in the shop, which never reached their recipients, will be returned. All clients will be compensated for unpaid rakeback from the last week before the poker room closed.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
