FTOPS XXI: The Legendary Poker Series Returns Today
The FTOPS series, which stands for Full Tilt Online Poker Series, began in August 2006 and was held every three months until the Black Friday incident.
The FTOPS series was known for its smooth structures, deep stacks, and good guarantees, making it one of the most popular online poker tournaments after the WCOOP. The first FTOPS event featured eight tournaments in Texas Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha, with the buy-in for the main event being $535.
The buy-in for the main event increased to $640 starting from FTOPS XV, and a two-day high roller tournament with a $2,620 buy-in was also introduced. The series included various formats such as knockout, shootout, cashout, rush, and multi-entries, adding diversity to the series.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
