Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut Smashes Bingo World Record with $440,000 Jackpot
Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut has made history by setting a new Guinness World Record for the largest payout for a game of bingo in a single bingo house. The record-breaking event, part of the high-stakes “Firecracker Bingo” celebration on July 4, saw a $440,000 jackpot awarded to Aaron P., who had the winning numbers.
The event drew over 3,000 players to the High Stakes Bingo Hall, with more than $1 million in prize money up for grabs. This milestone comes as the casino celebrates 40 years of bingo, marking a significant chapter in its history. The previous record was set in 2025 by Buzz Bingo in London, with a payout of £105,000 ($136,000).
Foxwoods Casino has a rich history in high-stakes bingo, beginning as a bingo hall in 1986 under the ownership of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation. The tribal Chairman Rodney A. Butler highlighted the impact of bingo on the community, stating that it served as a catalyst for the tribe's vision of building something meaningful for future generations. This world record achievement follows the unveiling of a new poker room at the property in September.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
