Poker Player Fontbona Wins 80,000€ with x1000 Multiplier
Fontbona, a 33-year-old poker player living in Peru, made headlines recently with a staggering win of 80,000€ thanks to a x1000 multiplier in a spin on the iPoker network.
Fontbona, whose real name is Marc, has been playing poker full-time for 3 years. He started taking poker seriously 6 years ago when he moved to Germany for work. His journey in poker has been quite eventful, with various ups and downs.
Fontbona joined the Spin Project on his first day of playing spins. He started with 5s on Partypoker.com and quickly moved up to 20s. Due to regulatory changes in Germany, he switched to ipoker.com where he played 20s for a significant period. After building his bankroll, he started shooting 50s in 2021 and decided to move to Estonia to dedicate himself full-time to poker. His biggest win before this was a x1000 in 50s while he was in Estonia. In 2024, Fontbona plans to focus on cash games, marking a new chapter in his poker career.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
