Flutter UK & Ireland Caps Gambling Spending for Under-25s
Flutter UK & Ireland has launched a new policy aimed at enhancing protections for customers under the age of 25. The policy includes a £500 per month net deposit limit for all customers in this age group across its platforms, including Paddy Power, Betfair, and Sky Betting & Gaming. This measure is part of Flutter’s Affordability Triple Step, a risk-based framework designed to monitor player activity and behaviors in real-time to ensure safe and enjoyable gambling.
The new policy is automatically implemented for all customers under 25, preventing any customer in this age group from spending beyond the £500 limit. For those who can demonstrate sufficient income to sustain a higher level of spending, a detailed process is required to set an alternative limit.
Support for additional measures to protect younger people is widespread, with 77% of regular gamblers approving of such initiatives. This policy aligns with broader industry efforts to enhance protections for younger customers, including the use of Adtech to avoid targeting under-25s in social media channels and introducing age markers on data models.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
