Flutter Execs Step In to Help Paddy Power Shops Ahead of Euro Knockout Stages
Flutter UK & Ireland division Chairman, Ian Proctor, and Chief Executive Officer, Conor Grant, worked at Paddy Power shops to support retail colleagues and welcome customers. Conor Grant worked at the Headrow, Leeds Paddy Power shop, while Ian Proctor worked at the Kings Cross, London location. The executives were shown the customer journey, with a focus on Covid safety measures including QR check-in, Perspex screens, and hand sanitizers.
The executives also lent a hand disinfecting all the machines and customer touch points. Following a brief teach-in, Ian Proctor and Conor Grant then took over behind the tills, serving customers in the build up to the England vs Czech Republic and Scotland vs Croatia games, and spent time talking to retail colleagues about their experiences over the past year.
Conor Grant mentioned the impact of Covid-19 on the retail sector and the adaptation of colleagues to the changing environment. Ian Proctor highlighted the welcome return of live sports and the steady trade seen throughout the tournament.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
