Finn Kettola's Epic Poker Showdown: 15 Million Euros on the Line

Finn Kettola, a Finnish poker player, has made a name for himself in the high-stakes poker world. His recent series of heads-up matches against Daniel Negreanu have garnered significant attention. Kettola first gained prominence in November 2024 at the Triton Series in Monte-Carlo, where he reached the heads-up stage in a $150k tournament but lost to Vladimir Korzinin.

Kettola's poker journey includes a history of playing high-stakes matches. He has a long-standing friendship with Patrick Antonius, and the two have played together in high-stakes tournaments. Kettola and Antonius have a history of playing high-stakes matches, including a $500/$1k limit heads-up match. Kettola's CSGOEmpire is one of the largest gambling sites, offering games against the house and bets on cyber sports, with financial operations conducted in cryptocurrency.

Recently, Kettola played several high-stakes heads-up matches in Tallinn, including a €500,000 buy-in match against Elias Talvite. He won two matches with a €1 million buy-in against Kaihan Mokri and Daniel Negreanu. The matches with Negreanu were particularly intense, with buy-ins starting at €1 million and increasing to €5 million. In one of the matches, Negreanu won a significant pot with a full house against Kettola's four of a kind. Negreanu was often seen on his phone during the matches, which Kettola joked about, asking if he was working on his game or reading about himself. Negreanu's stack dropped to $1 million, and he went all-in with a top pair on the flop, which held up, winning the third round for Kettola.
