Fedor Holz on Poker, Happiness, and Unlocking Creative Potential
Fedor Holz, a 23-year-old poker player, has made a significant mark in the poker world, winning over 20 million dollars in a few years. However, his journey has not been straightforward. Holz almost quit poker but returned and won a few more million dollars. Now, he is working on helping people unlock their creative potential and genius.
Holz believes in finding a balance between personal enjoyment and profitability in poker. "For players in poker, it is completely natural to focus on the profitability of the game," Holz said. "But I had to come to my current philosophy, which is much easier when you are successful." He now focuses on enjoying the community and the people around him.
When asked about his definition of happiness, Holz replied, "I don't have a clear definition. In my opinion, we have a feeling that we call happiness. This is the desire for progress, and in the long term, the ability to be content with what you have, similar to Buddhists, who do not cultivate negative and positive emotions, but simply exist, perceiving the world around them as it is." Holz founded the company Primed, which aims to help people realize their creative potential. Primed Mind, an app developed by Holz and Elliot Rowe, focuses on psychological resilience and mindset. The app features several ten-minute audio tracks that teach the right approach to various specific situations in both everyday life and professional activities.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
