European Poker Tour Sochi: Day 2 Highlights and Player Stories

The European Poker Tour in Sochi kicked off its second day with 305 players taking their seats, contributing to a total of 758 entries with 563 unique players. The tournament saw a significant participation from France, with 35 French players joining the fray.

Gleb Tremzin, a well-known poker player, registered for the main tournament on day 1C but did not progress further. He re-entered before day 2 but exited quickly again. Tremzin and his wife moved from Arkhangelsk to Sochi due to the favorable climate, mountains, and sea, as well as the presence of a casino. The move has been beneficial for their family, especially with the birth of their daughter.

Tremzin has reduced his tournament play but continues to engage in cash PLO frequently. He has also ventured into coaching, receiving positive feedback from his students. Despite the challenges, Tremzin remains committed to his poker career and family life. Oleg Yeltsov, a successful trader and investor, also participated in the tournament, playing poker frequently despite it not being his main source of income.
