European Poker Tour Introduces Four-Color Decks and More Exciting Changes
The European Poker Tour (EPT) is introducing several changes for its upcoming season. One of the most notable changes is the introduction of four-color decks in some tournaments during the Malta event. This innovation aims to enhance the playing experience and add a new dimension to the game.
In addition to the four-color decks, the EPT will feature new game formats such as Sextuple Omaha, Quintuple Stud, and Quintuple Draw. These exotic games will provide players with a variety of options and keep the tournaments exciting and unpredictable.
Meanwhile, the Russian government is considering legalizing online poker. Discussions led by First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov have focused on excluding online poker from the list of gambling activities. Vasily Anisimov, owner of Coalco and president of the Association of State Lottery Operators, proposed that part of the operators' income from poker sites should go to support FIDE. Amaya's CEO David Baazov described the situation with the legalization of poker in Russia as 'very optimistic'.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
