Poker Pro Erik Lindgren's Debts Shock Community
The poker world was shaken by the revelation of Erik Lindgren's substantial debts. Haralabos Voulgaris disclosed that Erik Lindgren owed him a significant amount of money dating back to 2005-2006. Although Lindgren eventually paid 80% of the debt, the remaining sum is still considerable.
Brandon Adams, a close observer of the poker scene, noted that many in the community were aware of Lindgren's slow payment habits. Despite warnings from others, Adams himself had bet with Lindgren, knowing full well about his financial issues. Adams described Lindgren as a 'very nice/generous guy' but also a 'terrible gambler'.
Daniel Negreanu, a friend of Lindgren, also commented on the situation. He acknowledged that many knew about Lindgren's delayed payments but continued to bet with him, considering him a 'fish' and accounting for the risks. Negreanu emphasized that Lindgren never outright refused to pay but often delayed payments, which he found disrespectful to creditors.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
