Eric Chang Triumphs in Record-Breaking WSOP Circuit Main Event

Eric Chang made history by winning the WSOP Circuit Texas Card House Austin Main Event, earning a career-defining $433,670 payday. The tournament set a new record with 2,090 entries, making it the largest $1,700 buy-in WSOP Circuit main event field in the tour’s history.

Chang's victory was marked by several comebacks, including a crucial double-up against Eric Tang. Chang flopped an ace-high flush draw and turned an ace, leaving Tang with just one out. The river card, the 10♦, gave Chang a winning diamond flush. Chang’s momentum continued as he eliminated Tang and other notable players, including Dan Stavila, Kitty Kuo, Jon Turner, Terrance Reid, and Andrew Moreno.

Lucas Jumalon, the 2026 WSOP main event winner, started the final day as the chip leader with 18 players remaining but ended up in 14th place. Jumalon's run was cut short by a series of unfortunate hands, including a missed flush draw and a tough runout. Despite his early exit, Jumalon's presence added to the excitement of the event.
