EPT Schedule Revamp, Russian Poker Pro's Big Wins, and Manila's High-Stakes Showdown
The European Poker Tour (EPT) has announced significant changes to its schedule for the new season. The tour will now feature ten-day series events with a variety of buy-ins, including high-stakes tournaments. The revised schedule includes events in Barcelona, San Remo, Prague, Bahamas, Deauville, London, Berlin, and Monte Carlo.
Russian poker player mypokerf has had an impressive winning streak in April 2012. On April 22, he won the Sunday Million tournament, earning $210,124. This victory, along with his win in the Super Tuesday tournament, propelled him to the sixth place in the OPR ranking on PokerStars.
A high-stakes poker tournament in Manila, part of the Genting Poker League, attracted notable players such as Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, and Johnny Chen. The tournament had a buy-in of $129,000 and was won by Allan Le, who earned $1,685,000. The Genting Poker League plans to expand to London with the London Millions tournament, aiming to capture both the Asian and global poker markets.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
