DraftKings Ends In-Person Betting at Wrigley Field: What You Need to Know

DraftKings will stop accepting in-person sports bets at its Wrigley Field venue on May 31, 2026. The venue’s bar and restaurant will remain open, but in-person bets won’t be accepted after May 31, 2026. DraftKings explained that it has decided to stop accepting in-person sports bets at DraftKings Sportsbook at Wrigley Field, effective at the end of May.

DraftKings pointed to the exact reason why it has decided to make changes to its retail offering, citing the high tax structure in Illinois. The company said that it remains committed to serving its customers via its mobile sportsbook.

Visitors to the operator venue won’t be able to place in-person bets after May 31, 2026, but the company said that it remains committed to serving its customers via its mobile sportsbook.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
