Doyle Brunson Remembers Jennifer Harman and Jimmy Chagra at WSOP 2007

Doyle Brunson, a renowned poker player, shared a memorable encounter involving Jennifer Harman and Jimmy Chagra during the WSOP 2007. Jennifer Harman is the only woman to play at the highest limits in Bobby's Room. Her strong personality was evident when she demanded that an unwanted spectator, Jimmy Chagra, leave the room.

Jimmy Chagra was a notorious figure known for his extravagant tipping and dangerous lifestyle. He was convicted for the murder of a federal judge, for which Woody Harrelson's father was sentenced to two life terms. Despite his criminal past, Chagra was a welcome opponent at the poker table due to his high stakes and generous tipping. Brunson recalled that Chagra once tipped a waitress $10,000 for bringing him water and another time gave a waitress $45,000 in tips, telling her to quit her job.

Chagra's presence during the WSOP 2007 caused a stir, particularly with Harman, who was not pleased with his intrusion. Despite Brunson's attempts to intervene, Harman insisted on having Chagra removed. Chagra, known for his volatile temperament, left the room with a parting shot, mentioning that he had left larger tips in the past. This encounter highlighted the unique dynamics and personalities that often emerge during high-stakes poker events.
