David Gómez Antelo, known as "antelillo", finished second in the MADchester Poker Open 2014. The tournament, held in Manchester, guaranteed a prize pool of 100,000£, making it a significant event in the poker community.
Gómez Antelo's journey to the final table was marked by a series of strategic plays. However, his path to victory was challenged in a crucial hand against Shah Athar. Gómez Antelo held 8 8, while Athar had K T. The turn card was a K, leaving Gómez Antelo with a slim chance of winning. Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
