David Baazov Accused of Stealing Charity Funds
David Baazov, Daniel Sebag, and Benjamin Ahdut are accused of misappropriating $707,000 intended for the Lion's Heart Self Help Group.
Amaya Gaming Group's subsidiary began operations in Kenya in 2010 as a lottery operator. According to the agreement, 25% of the revenue from the Kwachu Mamilli lottery was supposed to be transferred to the Lion's Heart charity.
NIC Bank assisted Baazov and his associates in transferring the funds to foreign accounts. A hearing on the misappropriation case is scheduled for December 5, with another hearing on December 11 regarding insider trading charges that Baazov faces.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
