Danish Poker Success, Rankings, Black Friday Anniversary, and New Novel

Morten Christensen made a significant mark in the poker world by winning the WPT Vienna 2012, securing €313,390. In the final heads-up, Christensen faced off against Konstantin Tolokno, ultimately defeating him with A8 against K8.

The Global Poker Index (GPI) rankings provide insight into the top players over the past three years. Leading the list is Jason Mercier, closely followed by Bertrand Grospellier and Shawn Buchanan. The rest of the top ten includes Katchalov, Sands, Seidel, O'Dwyer, Mizzi, Schwartz, and Mike McDonald.

Looking at the Player of the Year list for 2012, Jonathan Duhamel takes the top spot, with Erik Cajelais, Bruno Lopes, Eui Kim, and Noah Schwartz following closely. Additionally, it has been one year since the Black Friday event, which saw the shutdown of several online poker sites, including PokerStars, Absolute Poker, and Full Tilt Poker.
