Daniel Negreanu Ranks Poker Rivals by Table Companionship
Daniel Negreanu has ranked his poker rivals based on how enjoyable their company is at the poker table. Among those he enjoys the most are Phil Hellmuth and Scotty Nguyen. He also considers Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey, Chino Rheem, Jason Mercier, and Jason Koon as enjoyable company.
Negreanu finds Alex Foxen, Dan Smith, Scott Seiver, Fedor Holz, Tom Dwan, and Vanessa Selbst alright. However, he is not particularly fond of Erik Seidel, Patrik Antonius, Espen Jorstad, Dan Zack, David Peters, and Dan Colman.
Justin Bonomo and Mike Matusow are ranked as players Negreanu would rather avoid. Jake Schindler and Martin Kabrhel are the players Negreanu would leave the table for. Martin Kabrhel is known for being obnoxious at the table and painfully slow in most spots. Mike Matusow and Justin Bonomo are ranked the same by Daniel Negreanu, despite their long history together.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
