Daniel Negreanu Brings Back $25k Fantasy Draft for WSOP 2022

Daniel Negreanu has confirmed that the $25k Fantasy Draft competition will return for the World Series of Poker 2022. The event, which hasn't run since 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, will take place on May 30.

The $25k Fantasy Draft was started by Daniel Negreanu in 2011. The event costs $25,000 to enter and team bosses get $200 to create an eight-person team by bidding for top players in an auction. The number of teams in the last decade has ranged from 8 to 15.

Ryan Riess, the former WSOP Main Event Champion, took down the most recent edition of the $25k Fantasy Draft for $150,000. Daniel Negreanu might even bid for himself in the $25k Fantasy Draft, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.
