Daniel Negreanu Calls Justin Bonomo a Cheater and Brainwashed
In a recent vlog, Daniel Negreanu launched a scathing attack on fellow poker pro Justin Bonomo, accusing him of being a cheater and claiming that Bonomo's social justice ideas had totally indoctrinated him.
Negreanu's criticism comes after Bonomo was critical of his behavior during a recent poker tournament, where Negreanu lost almost $1 million over the summer. Bonomo even went as far as to call the Poker Hall of Famer violent and assert that events like this could make other players feel unsafe at the table.
Negreanu responded to Bonomo's comments by stating, 'Justin Bonomo was and always will be a cheater in the game we all love, poker.' Negreanu also highlighted Bonomo's past, where he was banned from PokerStars in 2006 for multi-accounting under the screen name ZeeJustin. Despite confessing and apologizing for his previous offenses, PokerStars reinstated him a few years later. Negreanu and Bonomo are among the top three all-time live tourney winners according to Hendon Mob, but their relationship has always been strained.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
