Daniel Negreanu Banned from Twitch for Profanity and Threats
Daniel Negreanu, a well-known poker player and ambassador for GGPoker since 2019, was banned from Twitch for using profanity and threats during a live stream on July 24, 2020.
The incident occurred when a user in the chat made derogatory comments about Negreanu's wife, Amanda. Negreanu responded with profanity and threats, including physical and sexual violence, during the live stream. His wife, Amanda, supported his actions, stating that he was defending her from online harassment.
Negreanu initially posted that he did not regret his actions and would not apologize for being himself. During a subsequent stream on Periscope and YouTube, Negreanu read a sarcastic apology and continued his stream.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
