Daniel Negreanu Finishes Third in Complex 8-Game Tournament at U.S. Poker Open
Daniel Negreanu, known as KID Poker, finished third in the 8-Game tournament at U.S. Poker Open, taking home $88,000. He was the chip leader during the 11-max stage but lost a significant portion of his stack when he went all-in with A-K against A-Q.
The 8-Game tournament at U.S. Poker Open featured a mix of eight different poker games, including 2-7 Triple Draw, Hold'em, Omaha, Razz, 7-Card Stud, Stud Hi-Lo, No-Limit Hold'em, and Pot-Limit Omaha. This complex format is popular among older players, with most participants being over 35 years old.
The tournament was won by Eli Elezra, who took home $183,600. Elezra is a seasoned poker player with four WSOP gold bracelets and over $4,000,000 in live tournament winnings.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
