Daniel 'jungleman12' Keats: Online Poker's Future and Career Highlights
Daniel 'jungleman12' Keats, a prominent figure in the poker world, recently shared his predictions about the future of online poker. He stated that the amount of action in online poker will decrease. This prediction comes after his significant win of $1,754,097 in online cash games in the beginning of 2014, with over $1,500,000 won in 2-7 Triple Draw, a game he started playing just a month prior.
Keats' career has been marked by both impressive wins and notable losses. In mid-February, he secured $500,000 for his first-place finish in the WPT Alpha8 tournament in Johannesburg. However, his journey has also included significant downturns, such as losing $561,522 in November and December 2009, which included a $500,000 loss to Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom. Despite these challenges, Keats bounced back strongly, winning $5,503,296 in online poker in 2010.
One of the most memorable moments in Keats' career was his side bet against Tom 'durrrr' Dwan. The bet involved $500,000 from Keats against Dwan's $1,500,000. Although the match has been on hold due to various issues, it remains a significant chapter in Keats' poker journey. Additionally, Keats had about 80% of his money on Full Tilt Poker during the Black Friday incident, which significantly impacted his financial situation. He confirmed knowing Jose 'Girah' Machado personally, adding another layer to his extensive poker network.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
