Daniel Dvores: From School Poker to High-Stakes Tournaments and Beyond

Daniel Dvores' journey in poker began in his last year of school, where he played in the school cafeteria using money meant for lunches. Born in Russia, Dvores' family moved to Canada when he was eight years old, and he spent most of his youth in and around Toronto. His parents insisted he attend university, where he studied mathematics and psychology.

Dvores' love for survival training and meditation started at a young age. He recalls his first fishing trip and hikes with his parents around the age of five or six. These early experiences fostered a deep appreciation for nature and self-sufficiency, which has stayed with him throughout his life. His family's experiences in Russia, where obtaining quality products was challenging, also influenced his outlook.

In 2019, Dvores achieved a significant milestone in his poker career by winning the Super High Roller Bowl. This victory marked a turning point, as he had previously struggled to win major tournaments despite often finishing in second place. His unique approach to poker, combined with his love for survival training and meditation, has shaped his career and personal life in profound ways.
