Chiefs' Offense Faces Uncertainty as 2025 Season Approaches
The Kansas City Chiefs are expected to be highly motivated after missing the playoffs in 2024.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is expected to start Week 1 of the 2025 season after recovering from knee surgery. However, there are concerns about whether he has sufficient playmakers around him to achieve lofty goals. Mahomes is on target to go down as a top five quarterback in the history of this league and he attacked his recovery and 75% of him is still elite. But there is going to be a process of discovery for him and Reid about how to navigate through this, especially in the first half of the season.
Wide receiver Rashee Rice returned to training camp after a knee procedure and legal issues. Tight end Travis Kelce is considered past his prime and potentially less effective. The Chiefs' offense is seen as lacking depth and dynamic personnel, particularly in the red zone. The Chiefs are expected to be aggressive in pursuing additional playmakers before the trade deadline.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
