CBS Sports to Broadcast WSOP 2021 with Extended Coverage

For the last 30 years, ESPN has been the sole broadcaster of the World Series of Poker. In 2021, WSOP tournaments will be broadcasted on CBS Sports Network. CBS Sports has promised viewers more content than in previous series. CBS Sports has signed a multi-year agreement with WSOP organizers.

In this year, CBS Sports plans to show 15 hours of the Main Event and 36 hours of 18 other tournaments. The schedule of all broadcasts will be announced later.

WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart said CBS Sports is a pioneer in covering sporting events. The Main Event of WSOP was broadcasted on CBS Sports in the mid-70s. CBS Sports can be accessed online through the website with a subscription to one of 12 providers. WSOP will take place in several stages: online in the summer and live in Las Vegas from September 30 to November 23, 2021.

I've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
