Carlos Chadha Villamarin Wins Borgata Summer Poker Open
Carlos Chadha-Villamarin won the Borgata Summer Poker Open $2,700 no-limit hold’em championship, earning $242,385 for his victory. This score was the second-largest yet for the Washington, DC resident, trailing only the $286,850 he earned for a fourth-place finish in a $25,000 high roller at the 2023 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure.
Carlos Chadha-Villamarin finished 51st from a field of 9,208 in the 2026 World Series of Poker $10,000 no-limit hold’em main event, earning a healthy $180,000 payday for his efforts. He was tantalizingly close to the final table and the prospect of multiple millions.
Maxwell Young was the runner-up in the Borgata Summer Poker Open, earning $167,985. He has just shy of $3.9 million in recorded cashes.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
