Canadian Wins First WSOP Bracelet in Unique Dealers Choice Tournament
The World Series of Poker (WSOP) hosted a unique tournament called Dealers Choice, where the dealer has the power to select the poker variant for each hand. This 6-max event with a $1,500 buy-in attracted 307 entries, creating a prize pool of $409,840.
Jaswinder Lally, a 58-year-old Canadian businessman, emerged victorious, claiming his first WSOP bracelet and the largest prize of his poker career, amounting to $97,910. His previous best finish was a $1,860 payout for 49th place in a WSOP bracelet event in 2018.
The runner-up was Andrew Kelsall from the USA, who won $60,510. The final hand, played in Omaha format, saw Lally triumph over Kelsall. The tournament's unique format added an extra layer of excitement and unpredictability, making it a memorable event for all participants.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
