Campeonato de España de Poker 2016: San Sebastián Hosts Major Poker Event
The Campeonato de España de Poker (CEP) 2016 has made its way to San Sebastián, with the Casino Kursaal hosting the event until Sunday. The city, known for its rich tourism and gastronomy, is set to welcome some of the best poker players in the country.
José Luis Urrutia, the current leader of the CEP 2016 provisional classification, is expected to participate. Urrutia, from Navarra, is closely followed by Toni Vázquez, the winner of the last event in Alicante. More than 50 players have secured their entry into the main event through online satellites organized by CasinoBarcelona.es, with entry fees significantly reduced compared to the standard 460+40€ buy-in.
The event schedule includes multiple days of competition, with the main events taking place on June 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. The Casino Kursaal is prepared to crown the new winner with the traditional 'txapela' on Sunday.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
