Cake Poker Network Faces Serious Security Vulnerability
PokerTableRatings (PTR) has discovered a serious security vulnerability in the Cake Poker network, which includes Cake Poker, Cake Poker (beta), Doyle’s Room, RedStarPoker.com, Unabomber Poker, Intertops Poker, and Sports Interaction.
The vulnerability allows hackers to access players' cards and account information by connecting to the user's internet connection. PTR recommends changing passwords and temporarily avoiding playing on the Cake network. They also advise players to use a secure home internet connection and avoid playing in public places like airports and restaurants.
Lee Jones, a manager at Cake, expressed surprise at the vulnerability and promised to contact PTR representatives. CakePoker acknowledged the vulnerability but stated that the likelihood of exploitation is extremely low. However, they have not yet reported that the security hole has been fixed.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
