Brazilian Poker Players Dominate WCOOP Series with Multiple Wins
Brazilian poker players have made a significant impact in the WCOOP series, securing multiple victories. Eduardo850, a student of Patrick Leonard, won two tournaments, including a $1k SCOOP-49 event in early September and a $1k NL 5 card exchange tournament.
Eduardo850 and Alex 'Pwndidi' Teologos joined the BitB fund in 2019, both starting at ABI $30. Alex 'Pwndidi' Teologos won a $25k super high roller championship on WSOP Online and a WPT500 tournament on partypoker. Both players were praised by their mentor Patrick Leonard for their dedication and hard work.
Eduardo850 quickly progressed from the 10th group (ABI $20) to the 4th group ($80) in his poker studies. Brazilian poker players won 19 tournaments in the WCOOP series, bringing their total to 42 wins. Russian players secured 30 first-place finishes, while English players have 21 and Dutch players have 15.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
