Bjoerni89 Smashes VPP Record on PokerStars

Bjoerni89, whose real name is Bjoern Schneider, set a new VPP record on PokerStars with 3,058,659.92 VPP in 2011. This achievement was announced by Bjoerni89 himself on Twitter on December 24, 2011. Bjoerni89 started playing online poker two years ago with 9-max SnG for $5. He joined PokerStars Team Online in November 2011, marking a significant milestone in his career.

Bjoerni89's journey in poker began when he followed his friends who transitioned from playing Warcraft III to online poker. He created an account on PokerStars and quickly became engrossed in the game. His main financial goal was to afford education in any German university without worrying about money, a goal he achieved relatively quickly. Currently, Bjoerni89 plays professionally and is not enrolled in any educational institution, focusing solely on improving his poker skills.

Bjoerni89 believes that playing against the strongest opponents is the best way to improve. He mentioned that he always played with many regulars, even on $100 heads-up games. He always believed in his abilities and constantly worked on improving his game. Bjoerni89 mentioned that he did not initially think about breaking the VPP record but realized he could after consistently playing with strong opponents. He considers Pistons, Adonis, Old Time Gin, iftarii, and Lotte Lenya as some of the strongest opponents in $5,000 SnG.
