BetRivers Poker Revives Delaware's Online Poker Scene with Record Revenue

BetRivers Poker has successfully revived online poker in Delaware, generating $53,609 in revenue during its first 21 days of operation in June 2025. This figure more than doubled the $24,190 generated during 888’s final month in December 2023. Delaware online poker revenue reached levels last seen during the 2020 pandemic surge, and the operator expects to hit $75,000 in July, potentially setting all-time state records later this year.

BetRivers Poker launched in Delaware on June 10, 2025, filling a void left by 888’s departure in late 2023. Delaware poker players had been without a legal option for 18 months, marking the only time in US online poker history that a regulated market went completely dark after operating for over a decade. The state’s online poker market now sits at levels last seen during the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020.

Despite launching mid-month during summer, traditionally the slowest period for online poker, BetRivers achieved significant numbers. Delaware Park captured 71% of online poker revenue, with Harrington Raceway taking 22% and Bally’s Dover generating 7%. BetRivers’ impact on Delaware’s online casino market was even larger than its poker revival, reporting $8 million in online casino revenue for June. Under 888, online casino barely reached $1 million monthly. BetRivers quadrupled that by its second month and has continued growing. The Multi-State Summer Series drew nearly 13,000 entries despite being smaller than competitors’ offerings. New Jersey will join the network later this year, creating America’s first five-state online poker network.
