Bernardo Rocha Wins Big: Largest Prize in Brazilian Online Poker History
Bernardo Rocha, a member of the Bedias Poker Team, has made history in the world of Brazilian online poker. On September 26, 2017, he secured the largest prize ever won in a Brazilian online poker tournament, surpassing the previous record held by Yuri “theNERDguy” Martins.
Bernardo, known as “Machadada RS,” achieved this feat by finishing third in the $5,200 Main Event of the WCOOP 2017 on PokerStars. His impressive performance earned him a prize of $848,015, which is approximately R$ 2.800.000.
Another notable performance came from Alexandre “Cavalito” Mantovani, a player from Pocarr Latina. Mantovani reached the final table of the Main Event, finishing in fourth place and winning $612,697, the third-largest prize in Brazilian online poker history.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
