Battle of Blogs: Highlights from the Exciting Poker Contest
The Battle of Blogs contest, launched in December 2020 by GipsyTeam and PokerMatch, has been a weekly competition where readers vote for the best posts, and winners receive $300 and a medal. The contest has three leagues based on the age of the blog, giving both new and experienced bloggers a chance to win.
Emily, wasp, and Ireful were the most frequent winners, while Stefan11222 and gula1008 led different leagues in the same weeks. BlackStack94 frequently placed in the top three within their league, and mararthur1 set a record for the most points in a week.
gula1008 shared a story about playing poker in rural settings, highlighting the challenges and unexpected issues. Emily wrote a blog post about how to behave on a first date, using a personal anecdote to illustrate her points. gula1008 recounted a story of friendship and betrayal involving a friend named Стручок.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
