Aussie Millions Returns with Big Wins for Antar and Lee
The Aussie Millions poker tournament returned to Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia, after a six-year hiatus. The $5,000 AUD no-limit hold’em challenge had 464 entries, resulting in a prize pool worth over $1.5 million USD. Joseph Antar won the $5,000 AUD no-limit hold’em challenge, earning $347,332 USD and 1,440 Card Player Player of the Year points. Jennifer Cassell finished as the runner-up, earning $209,002 USD.
The $25,000 AUD no-limit hold’em challenge had 98 entries, resulting in a prize pool of nearly $1.7 million USD. Hun Wei Lee won the $25,000 AUD no-limit hold’em challenge, earning $469,922 USD and 756 Card Player Player of the Year points. Josh Hutchins finished as the runner-up, earning $292,118 USD.
Lee expressed his excitement about the event, stating, “This one feels really, really special. Aussie Millions has always been a huge event on my calendar. We were deprived of it for six years, and now it’s back—and the numbers have been ridiculous. For a $25,000 event in Australia, we usually get around 30 runners if we’re lucky. But this time we got 98 players, with a lot of strong international competition. I’m really glad to come out on top.”

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
