Five Atlantic City Casinos Targeted in $1.1 Million Check Fraud Scheme
In a daring heist, five individuals from New York successfully executed a check fraud scheme across five casinos in Atlantic City, making off with a total of $1,100,000. The casinos targeted were Borgata, Ocean Casino Resort, Golden Nugget, Caesars, and Hard Rock Atlantic City.
The scheme involved exchanging counterfeit checks for high-value casino chips. Each member of the group presented two checks to the cashiers: one genuine and one fake. Some casinos accepted only one check, while others accepted both, allowing the group to maximize their ill-gotten gains.
One of the five suspects is currently in custody, while the remaining four are still being sought by the police. All five individuals will face appropriate charges for their involvement in the fraud.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
