Russian Poker Pro Andrey Wins Sunday Million Twice in Two Months
Andrey, a 23-year-old poker player from Vladikavkaz, has made history by winning the prestigious Sunday Million tournament not once, but twice within a short period. His first victory came on March 3, 2019, and his second on April 21, 2019. This feat is unprecedented, with only one player, Artem “VeA” Vezenkov, having won the tournament three times, and fewer than 10 players winning it twice.
Andrey's journey to poker stardom began when his friend Nikita introduced him to the game during his studies at the Moscow State University of Food Production. After initially resisting, Andrey decided to give poker a try for a month. His dedication to the game grew, and he even played poker during his military service, once finishing fourth in a tournament despite being on duty.
Andrey's poker career took a significant turn when he joined the FunFarm poker training group. Under the guidance of trainers like SiberianLion, his skills improved dramatically. He credits the training and support from FunFarm for his recent successes. Andrey also shared insights into his strategies and experiences, including his approach to playing against strong opponents like Lena900 (Niklas Osterd) in the Sunday Million tournament.

Argus RivenI've spent years at the tables — cash and tournaments — and just as long shaping poker copy behind the scenes: room reviews, bonus fine print, tournament notes. At PokerInsider I write the way I wish more sites would: clear structure, honest trade-offs, no hype. Whether you're new or already grinding, I care about what the offer actually costs you — rake, variance, and the fine print — and I treat responsible play as part of the job, not a footnote.
