Andrew's Poker Journey: From High School to High Stakes

Andrew's journey into the world of poker began in high school when he started playing with friends. He found the game engaging not just for its strategic elements but also for the element of gambling that added excitement and unpredictability. This early interest in poker laid the foundation for his future career.

One of Andrew's significant milestones came during the summer before college. At the age of 18 or 19, he won a substantial amount of money, around $70k-80k, through online poker. This sum was life-changing for him, providing a taste of financial freedom and the ability to pursue his dreams without the constraints of traditional employment.

However, Andrew's path to success was not without its challenges. He worked various jobs, including at a flower shop and as a cleaner, to support his poker playing. These experiences gave him a deeper appreciation for the value of money and the hard work required to earn it. One particularly tough episode involved losing half of his bankroll, which left him with approximately $60k. This financial setback led to a panic attack and thoughts of returning to education. Despite these difficulties, Andrew's determination and resilience helped him overcome these obstacles.
